The Regency Town House and the Victoria and Albert Museum share a portion of the considerable Jackson archive, assembled by the ornamental firm George Jackson and Sons through the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Town House collection comprises sample boards of 'composition' ornament, reverse cut and positive hardwood and softwood blocks, and ornaments such as swags and trophies. The physical collection is complemented by a number of publications and documents relating to the history of the firm.
We are currently cataloguing and building online access to the collection. It is our intention to provide both 2D and 3D access.
